I think it was Mark Twain that said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Well, if you look at eleven or so of the "new" listings in the Coronado Cays that were posted in the MLS last week you would think that there were a lot of insane home owners living in the Coronado Cays.
In today’s high tech world it continuously baffles me why home sellers will not only list their largest financial asset with an agent that has virtually no Internet presence but continuously touts print media. Then when the house doesn't sell, the homeowner re-lists with the same agent using the same methods that didn’t work the first time.
According to the most recent study preformed by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) 97% of home buyers find their home on the internet.
HELLO homeowner, how is your home going to be found if you list with an agent who uses print media and relies only on the multiple listing service as their on line presence. If a buyer can't find your home on the internet, it is not going to get sold. If your listing agents internet domain name is THEIR own name, the search engines will not pick that up. No traffic, no sale! Just for fun, do a Google search on my name and notice that my online dominance is second to none.
