Military Service Record

Commissioned officer in the U.S. Army in 1981 and served for 5 years.

Completed the Army Dietetic Internship in 1981 and was a Registered Dietitian for 20 plus years

Received The Army Achievement Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.

Commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy in 1985 and served for 4 1/2 years.

Awarded the Navy Commendation Medal.

In 1996, completed the Cooper course for Health Promotion and Wellness Directors.

Department Head for the Health Promotion and Wellness Program at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa received the Civilian of the Quarter in 1997, Civilian of the Year in 1997.

Nominated for Federal Woman of the Year; Keynote Speaker for the Federal Woman of the Year in 1997.

In 1997, received the Bronze Award for having the third best Health Promotion and Wellness Program Navy Wide.
